Anglesey is the big island off the Coast of Wales and stares across the sea to Ireland. It's what you picture an island like that to be and it's known for its beaches and ancient sites. If you can get out to very northwest side, there are a number of coastal paths that are surrounded by a collage of lavenders, pinks and blues with a breathtaking view of the Irish Sea. On a clear day, you can actually see Ireland. Meandering along that path either out to the lighthouse or along the cliffs can be invigorating. It's that crispy, salty air. While on the cliffs, you can see and hear the many screaming seabirds and occasionally catch a fishing boat going by. This piece was inspired by one of those walks. The Gray Leopard Jasper resembles the jagged walls of the cliffs and the Wood & Yak Bone add an organic/old look to the piece. The Driftwood and Keyhole Limpet Shell add the coastal feel to it. Anglesey is out of the way, but take the time to get out to that beautiful place and do go to The Skirrid Inn, Abergavenny which claims to be one of the oldest pubs in Britain...and it's haunted. That's what the Bone Mala Skull represents. I tell ya, a pint of Guinness in that tiny pub sure hits the spot after a walk on the coastal path.
