Batudaka is an Indonesian Island (largest island in the Togian archipelago) as is located in the Gulf of Tomini...and the place is as cool as the name. It is known for its waters and populace largely consisting of the Bajo people, referred to locally as "Boat Men." Its beaches are overhung with coconut trees and little inlets which will keep you exploring. This bracelet has a HUGE Bone Mala Skull to remind you of the Boat Men who cruise those waters, Carved Ox Bone to represent the local flavor and Coconut Wood for the coconut trees and stilt houses rising above the waters and pushing out towards the sea. The rare Lilac Jasper does have a color and tone of the local coral which is just a little different. I added a tiny piece of Northwest Heather Root dug from my garden just to add to the organic feel. This piece has a nice pop to it and has such a flavored vibe of that out-of-the-way place. Ahhhh...Batudaka.
