Most of us remember Carthage from the history books and ironically it means the “new city." It was one of the most important trading hubs of the Mediterranean and one of the most affluent cities of the classical world. It is basically northeast of Tunis and situated between the towns of Sidi Bou Said and Le Kram. The ruins still have their magnificent magnificence. They are the stuff of legend from their religious significance, maritime significance to their legendary Carthaginian generals. The setting, while standing in the ruins, is just what you picture... especially looking out towards the sea. Make sure to head down to the historic Punic Port to check out the temperature of the sea and the colorful fishing nets along the shore. This bracelet has the look and feel of those crumbling ruins.
