The Longmen Grottoes (translated as the Dragon's Gate Grottoes) are some of the finest examples of Buddhist art in the world. There are over 100,000+ Buddhist statues and carvings from the Northern Wei and Yang Dynasties located along Yi River roughly 8 miles from present day Luoyang in China (in the Henan Province). Many of these ancient statues are situated on a scenic stretch of cliffs running along both banks of the river. Flowing down the river to check it out is the only way to go and it almost feels surreal gazing upon all this amazing stuff. It's like you belong there and are not worthy either. You also wonder why more of the world hasn't seen or heard of its beauty. It's probably because it's located in a region most tourists ever get to. In the meantime, you can sport this bracelet that pays homage to the place. It has 2 Large Wood Buddha Heads for obvious significance. The Palm Wood and Smooth Water Buffalo Bone have the look, color and feel of the statues and surrounding wooded landscape. The Brass and Natural-Colored Hand-Carved Water Buffalo Bone give it a regal feel and pop. A Vintage Chinese/Asian Coin (sorry...can't verify origin) adds to its organic feel and the Bone Mala Skull represents you and your connection to the place. This piece almost has that meditation vibe to it so try it out for yourself. Better yet, put this place on your bucket list and let the bracelet be your guide...
