Lumahai Beach on Kauai is just what you picture when thinking of a tropical beach. Between the deep blue waters, soft sand and palm trees in the background, what's not to love? It's off the main road and ya gotta hike down to see it but when you come out onto the beach...man is it a site. However, it's not a place for a casual swim...some whirly, dangerous waters hit that beach so just ride the waves with your camera. I promise you will get some amazing shots, especially if the waves are popping. The movie, South Pacific, used this spot when filming so that should tell ya something.
