It's gorgeous, it's alluring and is as Hawaii as it can get. Makena Beach (Oneloa Beach) on Maui has over 3,000 feet of perfect white sand and colorful blue waters that touch its shores. If you want to come here to relax, this is the place because this beach only offers nature in sight. It's technically split in two by a lava outcropping which gives the beaches their names "Litte Beach" and "Big Beach." If you want a place just to sit or leisurely wander, this is your place. On the south side you can get out into the water for some of the best snorkeling Maui has to offer and up further it is known as 'breakneck beach' by the locals because the surf breaks right on shore. There is a lot of mythology that surrounds this area and no one really knows how this beach got its name. There's not much else to say except you can't spend enough time on this beach...it is truly a wonderful place and what you always picture a beach to be like. This bracelet was made as a shout-out to this wonderful stretch of sand. It looks like it was put together with things that could have washed up on its shores. The Coconut Wood gives it an organic feel and the Carved Yak Bone gives it a local Hawaiian tribal flavor. The Dyed Wood Beads are the same medium blue color as the water which is what sparked this bracelet design to begin with. There is also a Large Bone Mala Skull to signify your deep connection to the sea. If you ever want to get your toes in the sand, this is the place. Aloha...
