If you are ever in Scotland and head up to the heart of the highlands, turn left at Fort William, go past Glenfinnan and you'll end up running into Mallaig Harbour. This harbour is the main commercial fishing port on the West Coast of Scotland and overlooks the isles of Eigg, Rum and Muck. Love those names! It's usually not a destination spot, but if you do decide to push on past Glenfinnan and its famous viaduct, it's sooooo worth the drive to get there. All of a sudden, the breezy coast just sneaks up on you and then you find yourself rolling into the picturesque little village and harbour. If you are there during off season, you will definitely have the pavement and shops to yourself (if they are open). It's a great photo opp for anyone who loves taking shots of old and new working fishing boats heading out to the rough sea. This bracelet is made with African Turquoise and Coconut Wood to remind you of the deep green and rustic brown colors of the surrounding hills around the harbour. The piece of Driftwood is there to show what could wash up on that shore. The Bone Mala Skull represents the tough old soul that has braved the rough seas of the Atlantic. Stormy weather boys...arrrgh.
