Monterey Bay in California is just cool. If you have the chance to get away from the bustling coastal towns, golf courses, famous mile drives and cool piers to get out to the sprawling beaches that line the bay, then you get to see how wonderfully cool it really is. The stretch between the towns of Monterey and Marina is the best because you often get the beach to yourself. Even on the sunniest days, the cool breeze hits your face as you walk on the sandy beach. Most mornings, especially on the Monterey side, the bay is blocked in by fog that slowly dissipates as the days go long (if you are lucky). There's a savageness when looking out into that bay on those mornings. The marine life abounds like no other and its biggest visitor is the Great White Shark. You can just feel their presence offshore in those dark, grayish blue waters. This bracelet has a look of the bay when the fog roles in---there's also a grayish hue in the beads. The Maifan Stone is gray with spots of light aqua blue that reminds you of Sea Jasper. The Puka Shell and Yak Bone add the ocean's flavor along with the Large Keyhole Limpet Shell. The Limpet Shell has some fossilized barnacles attached to it which gives it more character. Speaking of cool, the HUGE Fossilized Shark Tooth is menacing and magnificent! Heads will turn when you sport this bad boy down on the docks. The Bone Mala Skull is there to remind you to tread lightly if venturing into those chilly waters...you never know what might be there to greet you. Peace!
