Mo'orea is just stunning and the stuff dreams are made out of. Baaaalllliiii Haaaaiiiii always seems to ring in my ears when I see it and images of Mutiny on The Bounty abound in my head. It's a South Pacific Island in the French Polynesia's Society Islands archipelago. Such a prolific feeling flows over you as its magnificence lets you in. I made this piece with this place in mind. It's made with a Fossilized Shark Tooth to represent the rich marine life and sharks that swim around its bays and the Kiwi Jasper that look like those shallow aqua blue, minty waters. The carved and stained Yak Bone are there to represent local Polynesian flavor and the Coconut Wood represents those dang cool Coconut Trees. A BIG Mala Skull is included to remind you of how you feel when you first see it. Ahhhhh...
Check out the About Artisan Page for detailed info on the Fossilized Shark Teeth used by the Artisan.
