I saw a Documentary Film about a bunch of movie fans in Spain who decided to excavate and bring back the graveyard site from the iconic ending of Sergio Leoni's Film 'The Good, The Bag, The Ugly.' People have made pilgrimages to try and find these ruins in northern Spain for decades. What a great flick about how dedicated fans came together from all over the world to bring back a part of film and Spanish history. That's why I made this piece...as a tribute to the documentary, to that iconic western and to the locals that made it happen. This bracelet is made with Heather Root (dug from my garden) to represent the toil of the fans and to represent the crude wood crosses, a Wood Cross to knock that home even more, Picture Jasper to represent the landscape, Red River Jasper representing the blood spilled by the movie characters, Yak Bone for the souls resting in the graveyard and a Bone Mala Skull to represent the character who you most identify with. Congrats to all those fans because you created a new destination for us to head out to! Blondie, Angel-Eyes and especially Tuco await!
