There is a reason why Sunset Beach gets its name. Situated on the North Shore of Oahu in Hawaii, this stretch of coastline is known for its big waves in the winter months. It's usually out of the way for most tourists since it's about 40 miles from Waikiki, but it does get crowded during peak season. It's one of those beaches that you can just sit on all day and gaze upon the blue waters of Hawaii...and if you are lucky enough to catch the sunset, then you know why this beach gets its name. The Hawaiian name for this beach is Paumalu. This bracelet was inspired by many afternoons sitting on this beach checking out the surfing bouts and those beautiful long sunsets. This piece has local flava all through it with the Kukui Nuts and Coconut Wood. The Carved Yak Bone add to its tribal feel and the Large Bone Mala Skull is there to remind you of the peace of sitting in just a spot. The color of these Kukui Nuts have a soft yellow tone that does remind you of that sunset color. What I love about the Kukui Nuts is not only are they light, they have a real therapeutic feel to them. Get this bad boy with the local flair for yourself, go push your toes in the sand and check out a sunset...shaka!
