The Bayon Temple is located in Cambodia and is richly decorated Khmer temple related to Buddhism at Angkor. It's Khmer architecture contrasts with the classical style of Angkor Wat which is more famous. Bayon's most distinctive features are the numerous serene and smiling stone faces of The Buddha (there are 4 on each tower pointing to the 4 sides). There are a total of 54 towers decorated with 216 giant smiling faces. Seeing all those faces does make you smile and gives you some sense of peace. Depending on what time of day, the ancient stone of this temple seems to change color when the light hits it. It can influence your mood and does wonders for your photography. This bracelet was made with that place in mind. The Brown Picture Jasper, Carved Yak Horn, Coconut Wood and Yak Bone feel like the texture and colors of the temple's stone. Also included is an Antique Asian Coin which has a great patina to it (sorry, I do not know the country origin of the coin). The Large Wood Buddha Head represents the smiling faces of Bayon. The HUGE Bone Skull Bead is all about the search for your place and peace in this life. May it come your way...
