Yachats is such a gem of a place on the Northwest Pacific Coast in Oregon. The town itself is tiny, but it has a few quirky shops, a couple of real tasty food joints, some dang good beer and the locals are pretty friendly. It's also a great place to base-up to hit the many hikes, beaches and points of interests around the area...and there are a ton! One of the best things to do there is to simply walk along the rocky coast...especially when the weather is up. The sound of the waves breaking on shore and the straight-shooting breeze is constant. This piece has all the make-up of Yachats. It is made with Driftwood that I actually found there...yeah...it was a tough assignment. I added Blue Dumortierite to resemble the color of the sea and the Coconut Wood and Brushed Aluminum resemble some of the funky things that the locals hang on their fences. I added 2 Bone Mala Skulls to remind you to bring a partner because it is a place to enjoy together. Make sure to grab a slice of the well-known pizza and bring along a growler to enjoy that special spot of coast at sunset.
