Ahhhhh Yellowstone or as many call it "Yellerstone.”  It’s THE National Park in North America and can take weeks to explore. From the geysers to the buffalo to the incredible sprawling valleys to the rugged mountain peaks to a picturesque waterfall that’s too amazing to describe…it has it all! You only understand Yellowstone once you make the journey there and then you want to make several more journeys there to soak up even more of that gorgeous landscape. Photos never do it justice and people can never describe it when they get back home. Yeah, it can get crowded as heck at times, but once you park your car alongside one of the roads and just gaze at one of the buffalo herds, you forget all about that distraction. The peacefulness inside the park towards sunset is as good as it gets and you really do get a glimpse into what life was like before man came along. It’s simply hard to explain. I wanted this bracelet to capture the colors and textures of Yellowstone. The HUGE Bauxite Bead shows the raw textures, colors and flavor of the land, especially at sunset. The Picture Jasper resembles some of the rugged foothills hills and mountains throughout the park, especially coming into from the north entrance. The Water Buffalo Bone and Palm Wood showcase some of the colors of the natural vegetation and wildlife. I found a couple Antique Silver Buffalo Nickel Coin Buttons at an antique shop years ago and I knew one of these buttons was meant for a piece like this because it ties in the main symbol of Yellowstone, the Buffalo. I love this piece and it definitely makes a woohoo statement. When people ask you what it is, the ones who have been to Yellowstone will instantly get it. For the ones who don’t, you may just spark someone’s travel plans to get there. Put Yellowstone on your bucket list…please.
